Patrick Sullivan is the Director (All Wales) Media Technology Programmes, WDA, and has been working in Information Technology for the past 30 years. His career has included working in
Government, Aerospace, the water industry, and in the supply of Information Systems with both a major American computer manufacturer and Welsh indigenous software house. Patrick has been employed with the Welsh Development Agency since March 1990. His current responsibilities include the introduction of programmes aimed at the development of the information
technology industry in Wales, and also to help organisations' exploit the new business opportunities that are arising from the advances being made in such technologies. His role also encompasses
introducing programmes stimulating the development of appropriate infrastructures including business support services, the supply of skilled graduates, and the timely roll out of advanced
telecommunications networks throughout Wales. He has an MBA from the University of Wales. Patrick was the founding President of ERIS@, the European Regional Information Society Association which has a current membership of
circa 50 regions from the member states and accession countries.
