New video portal 'could benefit Welsh SMEs'
A video portal that has been launched in Wales should have benefits for people, organisations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Screen Wales, which has been launched by Screen Icon, is internet TV specifically for Wales and will feature news, tourist information,
sport, entertainment and information about businesses in Wales.
Web adverts, news stories and features can be used by SMEs and other businesses to communicate with Wales, allowing the firms to promote what they do to anyone else using Screen Wales.
Screen Icon has said that the Welsh government has shown an interest in using the format as a mean of passing on information to the public, reflected in the fact that it has begun to upload content on to
the internet video portal.
Among content currently on the site is video from Wrexham County Borough Council, as well as the Wrexham Science Festival.
Interviews with the late John Charles, one of the country's most highly-rated footballers, are also available on Screen Wales.
