(Doors open 5.30pm for a light buffet and refreshments)

The Management Centre
Bangor Business School
Bangor University
College Road
Gwynedd LL57 2DG

Guest speaker : Jeremy Bassett from Corve Consultancy

Jeremy will be looking at the mysterious world of the teenager, who inhabits a very different world to us. He’ll have a look at social networking sites – methods of communication that work and don’t work with teenagers – how technology has changed the rules for marketers and how we can use that technology to re-connect with teenagers. He will see how viral marketing is a largely untapped method with lots of potential. He will also try to get inside the mind of the teenager and consider what research techniques will prise real insights out of them.

Creating relationships with ‘Generation @’ will be achieved by speaking to them in their own language – on blogs and social sites. They’ll expect to own the relationship, as they choose their own channels. How can marketers respond to these challenges – and get down wiv the kidz?

For the last 25 years Jeremy Bassett has worked closely with owner-managed businesses helping them with business and marketing strategy as well as funding and other key business issues. Formerly a senior manager and director of a number of UK, European and Global financial institutions, Jeremy runs a strategic Marketing Consultancy, is a Chartered Marketer and is on the board of The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Small Business Group.

This is a joint ITWales and The Chartered institute of Marketing event. The event is FREE to attend, however advance booking is essential.
