Keep IT Clean - Safe and effective email practices
Wednesday 2nd May
4.30pm - 8.30pm (Doors open 4pm)

Email is no longer just a useful and convenient means of communication. Over recent years email activity has grown extensively and is now regarded by many as a key business tool.
However, as with all business processes, in order to maximise the benefits you should be aware of the pitfalls and ensure that you have procedures in place to minimise the risk.
The risks and vulnerabilities of email include Denial of Service attacks, Phishing, Spam, Trojans, Viruses, Worms and Zombie attacks, but abuse of email is not just down to the spammers and hackers.
Lack of knowledge and understanding can often result in staff unwittingly aggravating the situation. This can increase the threat to your business and result in loss of productivity through downtime as
well as loss of credibility from customers and suppliers.
On a more positive note using email to generate a successful marketing campaign can save time and money, increase productivity and stimulate interaction between staff, customers and prospects.
Email marketing campaigns can also be highly cost effective and easily monitored to ensure that they achieve their objectives.
ITWales has developed this event specifically to look at safe and effective email practices, including good email management; protecting your organisation from external and internal threats; and
making the most of email marketing opportunities. Following the presentations there will be a buffet and networking opportunity.
This event, held in partnership with Pembrokeshire Business Initiative and Pembrokeshire College, forms part of the ITWales business development programme and is FREE to attend.
