6pm - 8pm (Doors open 5.30pm)
Technium CAST,
Parc Menai, Bangor
Guest speaker Rhys Jones of Accountis discusses, from a personal perspective, views on how the web browser is becoming a new computing platform, combining direct web information such as RSS
feeds and API calls to Google, Amazon, etc. with custom changes applied by users to web sites visited.
The talk will cover Web 2.0 concepts, API mashups, cross-domain javascript issues, Greasemonkey enhancements to web sites, and how this leads onto a Web 2.0 OS that orchestrates official and
unofficial APIs for new web applications.
This event forms part of the ITWales Software Developers programme and is FREE to attend, however advance booking is required.
